Build A Team And Grow Your Business

You need a team In business.  You can't do everything yourself.  You have to hire or contract work out to other people.

My business coach Andrew Morrison taught me this many years ago when I was toiling as a solopreneur. You may be thinking I can't afford to hire good people in my business.  Where do I get help from?  Morrison also schooled me that...

Ironically, if you have a good idea you may be surprised the people who will want to work with you.  Some brilliant people will work with you on a commission basis or to get a piece of the action.

I've had up to 11 people working with me around the world in India, Eastern Europe, and throughout the US at one time.  Sometimes people close to you will not believe in you and back you.   But other exceptional people who don't even know you will see value in you and want to back you.

I've had a Fortune 500 Software Architect with a degree work with me, a Stanford University MBA, and now I have an MBA with a MA in education and an electrical engineer working on his PhD recently join my team to help me with sales.

Some people with an entrepreneurial spirit will work with you because they want to become a business person down the line themselves.  Don't be afraid to work with people with more degrees or expertise in certain fields.

Usually the people who hire me are running multi-million dollar businesses and don't have time to do online marketing.  So my mission is to grow their Internet businesses.  I've helped business people generate way in excess of 30 million dollars and now I've decided to do the same for myself.

Remember savvy business people don't want to be the smartest person in the room.  They look for and reach out to build a cohesive system that scales and a team which is competitive and kicks arse!

At different times you'll need different types of team members.  When you get over 7 team members you'll probably need at least a project manager to keep the various parts of your business moving in unison and the right direction.

I would get a couple of operations type people and sales people in the beginning.  In one of my blogs my daughter ironically is my greatest team member asset.

With her research and blogging we surpassed getting 43,000 site views in August and over 91,000 site views in a little over 3 months.  So don't under estimate your team members.
